Credo che questa lettera meriti la pubblicazione:<\/p>\n

Beh, suppongo che ci\u00f2 metta fine alla questione Esselunga, cosa triste per te visto il contribuito cos\u00ec importate che hai dato alla societ\u00e0, la sua immagine pubblica e la sua creativit\u00e0 quando ne facevi parte.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Ora che sto \u201cappendendo le scarpe al chiodo\u201d come si suol dire, ho ripensato a tutti i pezzi grossi con cui ho lavorato negli ultimi tre decenni e tu certamente vinci il primo premio per intuizione e ampiezza di competenze.<\/p>\n

Ho conosciuto e collaborato con tanti bravissimi, se non eccellenti \u201ctop gun\u201d, i quali erano spesso capacissimi nel loro lavoro principale ed avevano tutte le competenze tecniche del mondo, ma molto spesso erano del tutto vacui di competenze trasversali (comunicazione, creativit\u00e0, l’intelligenza emotiva … ) per non parlare delle loro lacune in fatto di sensibilit\u00e0 culturale – a volte privi di qualsiasi nozione culturale qual essa sia!!<\/p>\n

Seguono tutti i canonici meccanismi manageriali tipo \u201cMBA\u201d, ma spesso gli manca l\u2019intuizione interna (vale a dire che conoscono la ricetta, ma non sanno cucinare), e un ventaglio di capacit\u00e0 a 360 gradi \u00e8 una cosa che non credo possano mai \u00a0imparare perch\u00e9 pensano siano superflue!!<\/p>\n

Ci\u00f2 ha creato un sacco di \u201cmacchine\u201d ambiziose, competitive e di solito arroganti che ora compongono il mondo delle imprese. Sono felice di lasciarmi quest\u2019universo alle spalle.<\/p>\n

Tuttavia, il tuo approccio \u00e8 stato sempre diverso, di fatto unico. Volevo che tu lo sapessi.

Well I suppose it puts the lid on Esselunga definitively, which is sad for you, as you contributed so much to the company, its public image and its creativity in your time.<\/p>\n

Now that I am “hanging up my boots” as they say, I have been thinking back to the top shots \u00a0with whom I have worked in the last 3 decades and you certainly win the prize for intuition and broadness of skills. I have seen so many top guns who are very good, excellent even, at their core job and they have all the technical skills you want, but very often they are totally lacking in the soft skills (communication, creativity, emotional intelligence…) not to mention bereft of cultural awareness – sometimes anything to do with culture at all!! They follow all the “MBA” type managerial processes but that inner intuition <\/em>is not there (ie they’ve learnt the recipe but don’t know how to cook) and the 360 degree skillset is something I don’t think they can even learn because they don’t think it is necessary! It makes for a lot of ambitious, competitive and usually arrogant machines who now make up the corporate world! I’m glad to turn my back on it. However your approach was always different, a one-off in fact.\u00a0 So I wanted you to know that.<\/p>\n
