Trump seems to have changed ‘course’ on Ukraine.
Now he would like to help it, but in the meantime nothing happens (Trump: on the Patriot to Ukraine we will evaluate, it is very expensive..)
And the people who had investigated his ties to Russia ended up under investigation : Administration takes steps to target two officials who investigated Trump
The Trump administration appears to be targeting officials who oversaw the investigation into Trump’s 2016 campaign ties to Russia, looking into the actions of former FBI Director James B. Comey and former CIA Director John O. Brennan, according to people familiar with the situation…
…While it is unclear whether the moves will lead to indictments, they are among the most significant indications that President Trump’s appointees intend to carry out his campaign to retaliate against his alleged enemies. This includes people leading the investigation into what he repeatedly denounced as the ‘Russia hoax’ nine years ago and officials involved in two failed federal prosecutions against Trump during the Biden years
…White House officials, who have often violated security measures designed to protect federal law enforcement from presidential interference, applauded the moves after Fox News Digital reported on Brennan’s referral and actions involving Comey on Tuesday.
“I’m glad to see that the Justice Department is opening this investigation,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said during an interview on Fox.
“What we’ve seen is corruption at the highest levels against President Trump; The Deep State has thrown everything at him,” she added, without providing any evidence for her assertion
… Comey, whose public acknowledgements of the bureau’s investigations into Trump and Hillary Clinton in 2016 propelled the FBI into the political arena, has long been in Trump’s crosshairs.
In 2018, the president told the White House counsel that he planned to order the Justice Department to prosecute Comey and Clinton. The lawyer, Donald F. McGahn II, rejected it, saying he did not have the authority to do so. McGahn said that although it might require an investigation, even that could raise charges of abuse of power and drafted a memorandum warning that he could face a number of consequences, including impeachment.
In May, Trump criticised Comey after the former director published a photograph of a formation of shells arranged with the words ’86 47′ – which the president interpreted as a call for ‘assassination’. Trump suggested that Ms Bondi should look into the incident, which was already the subject of a Secret Service investigation.

There has been some change in Trump’s course on Ukraine , Russia and Europe but :
1) for the time being these are just words.
2) in the meantime he has lost credibility (if he ever had it).
