As is the case with every event of this kind, the family photo at the end of the ceremony was a must, and two ‘extended’ family groups, with many of the key players in my life, are in the lens.
From left to right: Giorgina Venosta (separated wife of Bernardo Caprotti and mother of Giuseppe and Violetta), Violetta, Marianne Maire Caprotti (grandmother of Giuseppe, Violetta, Benedetta and Elisabetta), Giuseppe, Aldo Rivolta (son of Vanna Austoni, cousin of Benedetta and Elisabetta Caprotti), Matilde Austoni (grandmother of Benedetta and Elisabetta, mother of Lu), Vanna Austoni in Rivolta (Lu’s sister, Aldo Rivolta’s mother, aunt of Benedetta and Elisabetta), Benedetta Rivolta (Aldo’s sister), Lu Austoni ( Guido Caprotti ‘s wife and mother of Benedetta and Elisabetta), Benedetta Caprotti, Paola Austoni (Lu and Vanna’s sister and aunt of Benedetta and Elisabetta), Elisabetta, Guido Caprotti. The photographer is certainly my father Bernardo.

In the one on the far right for those reading you can see Virginio Rivolta, known as ‘Ginetto’ (father of Matteo Rivolta, standing next to me in the photo of the egg hunt). Virginio was also a director, for many years, of Supermarkets Italiani, the holding company that controlled Esselunga.
