Her great-grandmother Adele ‘was the sister of Piero Portaluppi, the architect who designed a number of important buildings in Milan, such as Villa Necchi Campiglio, the Civic Planetarium in the gardens of Porta Venezia, and the Arengario building. (…)”. (p. 81). The architect also looked after the family, and among other things designed Villa del Dosso in Somma Lombardo (VA), the country home of his sister and her husband Umberto Quintavalle (now a luxury resort), and in 1957 he designed the renovation of Adele’s flat in Via Morigi in Milan.
