“In Milan [his grandfather] had a street dedicated to him, a side street in viale Sarca: the plaque recalled his role as a ‘pioneer of the non-profit sector’, and the then Councillor for Culture Salvatore Carrubba, in informing Carla Venosta of the Municipality’s approval, wrote that the Municipal Council, in its resolution of 10 December 2002, would name a street after the ‘illustrious creator of the Cancer Research Association’. I often pass by there when I go to Milan. Every two years, a deserving researcher receives the ‘Guido Venosta’ prize from the President of the Republic, which also consists of a 50,000 euro scholarship.” (p. 85).
