“(…) our mother, a free woman, is a friend of Inge Feltrinelli, who will manage the publishing house after the death of her husband Giangiacomo. (…)”. (p. 89).

A friend, very close, and will remain so all her life, until her death in 2018. Inge frequented their home, invited them to parties and events, and my archives contain photographs of this exceptional woman, always affectionate with her mother and her second husband, Aldo Bassetti.

The photograph above shows Inge first to the left of my mother and two friends in the garden of Villa Nadina, in Forte dei Marmi (one of the houses purchased by my grandfather Peppino).

In the first photo below (archive photo) the Feltrinelli family: Giangiacomo, Inge and their son Carlo, whom I have known all my life, having been my sister Violetta’s school and playmate.

She is also seen in Monate, at Aldo ‘s house, with his friend Pierluigi Cerri.

Inge was one of the few people who was close to me in the darkest years of my life, from 2004 onwards.
