The German group that owns the Lidl and Kaufland chains closed the financial year ending 28 February 2026 with a total turnover of 185.6 billion euros, up 5.8 per cent on the previous year’s figure of 175.4 billion.
Despite a climate marked by economic and geopolitical tensions, the group has further strengthened its position in the European market, whilst also increasing its workforce.
