Good morning Giuseppe, I have just finished reading your book. It is a very compelling story, at times a Shakespearean tragedy, at times a chronicle and history not only of a family but of Italy. I have sometimes read family histories: they often become boring and dull. His, on the other hand, maintains rhythm and interest, as if it were a bit of a detective story: you want to see who the culprit is to the end… Moreover, having been born in 1966, I have been an Esselunga customer all my life, so the events you recount reveal backstories that I certainly did not know. I got the idea that your father was not an easy person, with many limitations in terms of mentality and character: you can see that you are a different person. I don’t have children, and I didn’t have a father either, but the phrase her father says to her keeps ringing in my head: I thought you were going to shoot yourself… How a father can say something like that to his own son is a complete mystery to me. I wish you much peace of mind, you seem like a good person.
