The digital channel also continued to grow. Digitally-enabled sales were up 21.5 per cent in the quarter and 21.6 per cent in the first 36 weeks of the fiscal year, confirming the growing importance of e-commerce in the group’s strategy.
E-commerce sales in the quarter were 5 billion (7.2% of 69.15 billion quarterly revenues (*), which is a lot for a wholesale retailer with 82.9 million subscribers).
Quarterly membership fees returned $1.37 billion. Their unit price rose by 7%.
In the first nine months of the financial year, net profit reached $6.23 billion compared to $5.49 billion in 2025.
The expansion of the network also continued. Costco now has 931 stores worldwide, including 639 in the US and Puerto Rico, as well as an established presence in Canada, Mexico, the UK, Japan, South Korea, Australia, China and numerous other international markets…
(*) Particularly significant was the performance of comparable sales, which increased 9.8% globally and 6.6% excluding foreign exchange and fuel effects in the quarter.
