“I lived through those years in Esselunga, I felt through this interview those emotions, fears, happy moments. Dr Giuseppe (we always called him that in the company) was for us new recruits a reference point and an example to follow.
I would like to emphasise the professional, human and moral depth of the man who represented the future. A motivator, a spontaneous coach to whom, after the publication of his book, I feel even more attached.

Fabio Bellerè had joined Esselunga in January 2000, like so many bright young people, with the position I had created, based on my experience at Dominick’s in Chicago, as an assistant buyer.
After my removal as CEO, he continued his career in other distribution groups.
