First draft: 14 April 2017. Updated 2 May 2025
It’s 2017 and if you type the word Caprotti into Google, you come to Bernardo Caprotti.
And so far no problem.

However, if you look closely to the right , on the screen, you can see that Bernardo Caprotti has or had two brothers, Claudio and Guido Caprotti (real) and… two sisters, Violetta and Marina (who are his daughters in reality).
Bernardo also had two parents, Marianne Maire in Caprotti and Giuseppe, known as Peppino (real), but the undersigned does not exist.

Yet, if one were to look at the facts, and there is a non-exhaustive list of them in my biography (which has never been contested) , I am certain that Violetta and I could aspire to a different ‘placement’. And I could get ‘the right to exist’ on Google.
But the press organs, which seem expertly piloted, do not help.
For instance, ll Corriere della Sera, , 26 November 2017, writes that :
…’Communication
It is a pity that this turning point was implemented by Violetta – who had the idea of quality communication – and Giuseppe Caprotti
I convinced my father to change course (he only thought about prices and ‘had no time’ for Armando Testa presentations…) and was the architect of the second campaign, the one with John Lemon.
But our names must be concealed and this episode, which is not the first and unfortunately will certainly not be the last, reminds me a little of the statues of the Buddhas, knocked down by the Taliban in Afghanistan: when History is annoying you try to erase it.
As already pointed out, these are extremely unpleasant situations that could have been avoided.
p.s.: after several communications to Google, I seem to have acquired the right to exist.
Seeing is believing.
This changes nothing to the shameful treatment I have received over the years from Google: for example, my mother Giorgina Venosta continues not to exist for the search engine. And also from Wikipedia, which not only does not consider me ‘encyclopaedic’ but has deleted the page on Guido Venosta, creator of AIRC, the Italian Association for Cancer Research.
The picture is completed by the Corriere della Sera – national edition – which, for example, after having deleted me in 2020, is one of the few Italian newspapers not to have reviewed my book, Le Ossa dei Caprotti.

Obviously news like this Former minister Severino, lawyer, asks for a plea bargain for Moncada (Esselunga) is not to be found in the Corriere della Sera.
