Negli USA, a giugno, crescono vendite, ordini, numero di clienti e frequenza (sales,orders,customers, frequency) rispetto i mesi precedenti (all the e-commerce indexes are increasing, a part the one of the ticket).
Scende solo un pò, lo scontrino medio nella seconda riga (spend, che nelle realtà si chiamerebbe ticket) dello schema che segue.
Tre fatti importanti:
- crescono gli over 60, che per paura del coronavirus si avvicinano all’e-commerce, con un’icremento numerico del 9%, da Progressive Grocer che non è una testata politica ma di distribuzione (the source is a grocery newspaper, not a political one) :
1.rise of the over 60 : “Those over the age of 60 also played a role in the growth, with a 9% increase among shoppers in this age group in June. Respondents were more concerned about someone in their household contracting COVID-19, up from 42% in May to 44% in June”.
- Soddisfazione dei clienti ai minimi (come il Italia) e Amazon è comunque leader della soddisfazione del cliente.
2. low customer satisfaction “Customer satisfaction, however, remains low. Only 57% of shoppers are likely to use a specific online grocery service again within the next 30 days, down from 74% in August 2019, well before the coronavirus was widespread in the United States” (Amazon leads in online grocery shopper satisfaction)

- Maggiore offerta (crescono, nell’online, i concorrenti di Amazon e gli indipendenti (anche piccoli) :
3.more offer “One of the primary reasons for sales growth in June could be additional online fulfillment capacity across the market as more retailers, especially independents, launched services, and others added labor or improved pick productivity via tech solutions”.
Ad esempio :
Kroger (*) è cresciuta del 92% nell’e-commerce, Amazon del 23% (la quota di mercato di Amazon è scesa, negli USA ma anche in Francia).
Kroger’s online sales were up 92% versus Amazon only 23% (Amazon’s market share has fallen in the US and elsewhere).
(*) Kroger è il terzo distributore degli Stati Uniti, dopo Walmart e dopo Amazon. Fattura più di 100 miliardi di $.
